In more than half the country, medical marijuana is now a legal way to address health concerns you might have. It might be surprising to hear–especially if your idea of marijuana is the pot you might have seen somebody smoke in high school.
But doctors in more than 30 states are now able to recommend marijuana for patients with a variety of issues. If you live in a state that has medical marijuana, you might consider it for treatment if you have the following conditions (or others, depending on the state!):
- Chronic pain
- Post-traumatic stress disorder
In some states, like California, it’s as easy as going online to get a virtual doctor’s appointment for medical marijuana approval. You can be headed to the dispensary in 30 minutes or an hour. Other states require an in-office visit, voluminous paperwork and weeks of waiting.
